Play

Houston is a world-class city when it comes to sporting events, we can assist with getting you tickets for NFL, NBA, MLB or MLS games, or even exciting college match-ups. Or if sports are not your thing, you can rent bikes to cruise through the city or even canoe in the Buffalo Bayou.

Explore Space Center Houston

Building 9 is the Vehicle Mock-Up Facility. From the catwalk high above the massive floor, you’ll see several mockups of International Space Station parts and even get a look at the new Orion capsule. You might see cutting-edge rovers, robots, next-level space suits. Here is where the impossible is happening right now.

Or visit Mission Control: This is where U.S. flight controllers coordinate with astronauts from the many countries that participate in the International Space Station program. Built in 1995, this facility took over from the “historic Mission Control” as part of a $250 million renovation project. This room is manned 24/7 to help the Space Station team with whatever they need.

Depending on traffic it takes about 30 - 45 minutes from downtown Houston to get to the Space Center by car/ Uber or you can also see both of these on the Tram Tour. https://spacecenter.org/attractions/

Stay at Texas in a hotel

The Marriott Marquis Houston, while a convention hotel, is the perfect getaway from the demands of our busy lives. With resort-like features, this is a business hotel that also caters for the traveller who wants to stay on and see more than the inside of a boardroom on their next trip to Houston.

Just for starters, the Parkview Terrace on the 6th floor features a Texas-shaped lazy river, as well as an Infinity pool and a splash pad for younger guests. There’s also green space for Bocce Ball, Cornhole, Jenga as well as yoga. Cabanas and Gazebos can be rented for those who want to spend the whole day out under the warm Texan sunshine!

10,000 restaurants in one city - we selected a few for you here.

Liberty Kitchen + Oyster Bar

The original Liberty Kitchen, Liberty Kitchen Oyster Bar (LKHH) opened in the Houston Heights in November 2010. The goal then and now was to create a casual and beautiful restaurant that reflected the neighbourhood and focused on the bounty of foods from the Gulf Coast. Liberty Kitchen is a place to drop in for a quick meal, your regular spot to meet friends or a place to celebrate a special occasion, it’s comfortable and welcoming all year round.

Seafood is the speciality, the oyster bar offers a selection from the Gulf, East and West Coasts. Fish, Steaks, Spare Ribs, Chicken, Burgers and occasionally a Whole Pig are all deliciously roasted on the charcoal and wood-burning grill.

The Pastry War

A mezcaleria from Bobby Heugel and Alba Huerta serving agave spirits from family-owned distilleries in Mexico that Bobby and Alba have personally visited. Named after an 1838 conflict between Mexico and France, The Pastry War celebrates the rich and vibrant drinking culture of Mexico with subtle French details throughout the bar.

PS - we recommend the Strawberry Balsamic Margarita. It sounds a bit risky but totally worth it!

PPS - Hidden inside is an entrance to a Speak-Easy....see if you can find it!

Toulouse Cafe and Bar

Toulouse Café and Bar recalls a Fin de Siecle Parisian Café where you are likely to bump into friends and find yourself in conversations with neighbouring tables. At first glance you will notice the bustling activity that characterizes Toulouse: wait staff with wine openers and hot plates of food, people chatting and laughing, the clink of wine glasses… the atmosphere is sophisticated and good moods are contagious.

In the tradition of all fine bistros, Toulouse has imaginative and seasonal menus that provide exactly what its patrons long for: cozy tables open to the street, mouth-watering specialities a la Française, delicious desserts made from scratch and an extensive wine list. Enjoy the tastes of France with exciting yet comforting dishes such as our famous quiches, an expertly cooked trout almondine or the best mussels in the city.
